Tax Credits for business: a broad over-view

Posted in Economics & Tax Policy by downtownlabiz on June 12, 2009

There are virtually unknown tax credits and incentive programs available to small and medium sized businesses which can potentially add ten of thousands of dollars to your bottom-line.

Two important factors: hiring the under-employed and having office space/business  in the right location.

These areas are called:  Enterprise, Empowerment, and Renewal Zones. Programs include the work opportunity tax credit (WOTC), offering a credit of $2400.00/employee, then there is the Employer Hiring Credit, which, per business can be $37,000.00/year over a five year period. Finally, to top it off there is the Employee Wage Tax Credit of $3000.00/employee.

The Forbes Legacy Ventures LLC  team (WWW.FLVLLC.COM) will be working with Bob Holguin at the Chamber  (WWW.LBCGLA.ORG) to look into the positive trifecta noted above and see, to the degree which businesses which comprise our network can qualify.

We will update you with zip codes, opportunities, and processes.
